My various musical adventures with the many wonderfully talented people, I have been lucky to work with. All more than willing to assist this flat-singing but enthusiastic music lover and songwriter.
Nicely has a theme you know! This has also gone by the name ‘Scum Tango’ and was written with keyboard supremo Duncan Walsh Atkins. I first came up with the melody when writing a musical about ‘chugging’ (charity mugging) in London, called ‘Street Charity’. Great title that.

My very first performed song, from the award-winning play ‘Dulcas’s Women’, which starred the talented Gen Swallow. This is ‘Aaron the Aardvark’, written with and sung by, the wonderful Tara Paulsson.’
From ‘Lucifer – My role in the New Labour Project’
My tribute to Noel Coward, also written with Duncan Walsh Atkins, performed by the gorgeous Wildredo’s better half Matt Roper.
WARNING: VERY RUDE!
This is one of my favourite songs from the musical ‘Mile High’ written with lovely Mike Hume: Saturday’s Girl.
‘Guy Fawkes – The Musical’, written with the inspirational Ben Durkin, has made it onto CD before a performance (thanks lockdown). Here’s is a video of one of my favourite songs, beautifully sung by Francesca Leyland: ‘Where is the Man for Me‘.
This song was first sung to my wonderful Dalmatian Gonzo on one of our late dark November walks. He wasn’t impressed, preferred running, but Ben made it a reality: ‘Paint the Walls‘, sung here by Francesca again. It features in our new musical ‘Burke and Hare’, based on my 2003 play.
Here’s a new one, written with Ben again, from a work-in-progress with a working title of ‘The Superhero Musical’. It’s called C Thru Me and there’s a fabulous little animation to go with it: https://vimeo.com/1116715387?share=copy#t=0

I love writing songs and thanks again to everybody who has helped to make them a reality.
A rather lovely version of the song ‘But, Do I love Her,’ (re)written with Ben and sung by Craig Dacey. Apparently this is available as a single — next stop ‘vinyl’.
